Cyber Security Lead
Our client is looking for an experienced IT Security Leader to join their team to put cyber security at the forefront of our organizational transformation initiative. Reporting directly to the CIO this is a new position within a leading financial services organisation.
This person will be responsible for creating and implementing Enterprise Cyber Security programs affecting all clients, staff, IT infrastructure, applications and data assets, to ensure that these are secure from threats. They will have the opportunity to create a security roadmap, define policies & procedures, remediate existing technologies to enhance their security posture, evaluate & implement new technologies to reduce risk, communicate technical/functional cyber security concepts to business stakeholders, leadership and external organizations
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- This is a management role, typically requiring 8 or more years’ experience, including two or more years’ experience supervising a small team of specialists.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, be organized, systematic, thorough, accurate and disciplined.
- Strong analytical skills with business system focus
- Experience in several large organisations in a related capacity.
- Experience in IT Security and Enterprise Risk Management.
- Extensive experience managing complex IT delivery projects and advantage involving new applications and technology to large user groups
- Experience in agile project planning and delivery methods
- Successful experience managing a highly qualified, professional team
- Experience leading change with own team and with clients
- Experience in IT services consulting desirable
- Experience in scaled agile methods desirable
- A demonstrated passion for social change and contributing to an organization of influence for the most disadvantaged
QUALIFICATIONS
- Tertiary qualification in business management, computing or engineering
- Ten or more years of experience in IT management, with at least five of those years being concentrated within cyber security. Ideally, a candidate would have IT Security experience in a client focused highly operational environment.
